£37,570 – £43,772 per annum, plus £1,250 per annum in Prison Environment Allowance

Based at HMP Eastwood Park, Wotton-Under-Edge, GL12 8DB. Free and plentiful parking available on site. Please note however that the successful applicant will be alsorequired to work across 4 other prisons within the South West (HMP Bristol, HMP Ashfield, HMP Erlestoke and HMP Leyhill) – access to your own transportation and a willingness to travelwill thus be required for this post.


The Role

Bristol Community Health’sOffender Health Division is seeking a Lead Nurse for Sexual and Reproductive Health. Working in partnership with other organisations in theprison healthcare communityunderthe InspireBetterHealth brand, our workfocuses on delivering care that makes a difference to our patients in prisons across the region.

In this role, the post holder willprovide the day to day delivery of sexual healthclinics across 5 prison sites (1 for women and4 for men), providing advice and wellbeing on issues such as contraception, sexually transmitted infections, and more to our patients. Ateach site you’llwork closely with the residenthealthcare professional teams, in turn providing clinicalleadership to them on sexual health matters.

In doing so you’ll help to deliver the kind of holistic care that goes beyond health; through encouraging people to make better life choices, we aim to support individuals to manage their own health, and in turn make better life choices, reduce reoffending, and ultimately rise to their own potential
