Role: Podiatry Assistant – Band 3
Salary: £18,813 – £20,795 (pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Bristol Community Health (BCH) is seeking a motivated and flexible Band 3 Podiatry Assistant, to join our team.
The Bristol Community Health Podiatry Service aims to provide flexible packages of care to those who are medically at risk or who have a high level podiatric need. We offer nail surgery, biomechanics and diabetes services alongside routine community and domiciliary care.
The successful candidate will receive on the job training following the BCH Band 3 Podiatry Assistant Competencies Framework to be able to carry out and run their own nail care sessions from various clinic locations and in patient’s home across Bristol. They will be trained to carry out extended roles once trained and assessed as competent to provide additional support to the Podiatry team this can include, assisting with nail surgery, and the urgent access diabetes clinics. The post holder needs to be an excellent communicator, with strong organisational and prioritisation skills and the ability to work as part of a team. In addition they should demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop within the team. They will be supported in this through induction training, clinical supervision and peer group support.
They must have an ability to work following policies, procedures and practices requiring an understanding of podiatry, acquired through on-the job training.
This position requires applicants to be able to work flexibly across Bristol and have access to their own transport.
