Bristol Community Health CIC – New Friends Hall, Bristol, BS16 1EQ

Permanent – £30,401 to £37,267 per annum, pro rata

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join the Specialist Community Neurology Service to cover maternity leave.

The Specialist Community Neurology Team (SCNS) is a multi-disciplinary, community-based therapy service for patients in the Bristol area. We provide therapy services for patients with a neurological diagnosis who’s needs are best met within the community. We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, therapy assistants and a neurology nurse. We aim to provide patient centered, holistic care to enable patients to manage their long term neurological condition.

This role offers an opportunity to develop highly specialist clinical skills within neurological physiotherapy. Previous experience of working with neurological patients and in the community is desirable. Successful candidates will be expected to work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team, to assess and provide evidence based treatment for patients with a wide variety of neurological conditions.

Supervision and in-service training is seen as an integral part of our work. There is a comprehensive cross-profession supervision structure for all bands and a robust in-service training program. There are also opportunities available to attend internal and external training to develop both clinical and non-clinical skills. We also have close links with the University of the West of England.

All applicants must be able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. The service operates  Monday to Friday service 8am until 5pm.

We will consider both full time and part time applications.
