We are seeking a talented Nurse to join our Urgent Care Out-of-Hours Team. Within this role you’ll support the Community Health Care and Rapid Response teams in the delivery of clinical care to patients.
The core hours of the team are 19:00 to 07:45 over 7 days a week, evening shift 19.00-00.00 and full shift 19.00-07.45 a minimum of 15hr a week are required but anything after this is negotiable. This permanent post will be flexible to cover shifts within these hours.
You’ll be responsible for the initial holistic assessment, evaluation and implementation of a wide variety of programmes of care.
Most care provided is unscheduled, with only short term cases being scheduled (such as courses of IV antibiotics). This aspect makes this role both varied and interesting and it is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and techniques
The team itself is a service which provides Community Nursing Care that includes palliative care and continence management. In addition to this we focus on the prevention of hospital admissions and facilitate early discharge by providing intensive packages of care to manage acutely unwell patients.
Who You Are
Appreciation for or experience in patient centred care advanced nursing skills such as the administration of intravenous antibiotics.
Highly motivated nurses who would enjoy the challenge of caring for patients with a wide variety of nursing needs.
High level of communication and team working skills and ideally have experience in Community Nursing, Acute Medicine or Surgery although this is not a pre-requisite.
