Permanent – £24,214 to £30,112 per annum, pro rata

Do you enjoy a variety of work from supporting patients who have recently been acutely unwell in hospital to intensive rehabilitation and managing long term conditions?

We have an opportunity for Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the East Community Therapy Team based at East Bristol Intermediate Care Centre with overlooking views across Troopers Hill.

The team is made up of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehab Support Workers, Speech and Language Therapists and Mental Health Nurses. Your role within the team will be to complete holistic assessments and treatment plans to support patients to manage their own conditions within their own homes

The team uses shared decision making techniques to devise goal focused rehabilitation programmes for the diverse community of East Bristol. Patients seen have a range of acute illnesses and long term conditions including stroke, amputations, progressive neurological conditions, orthopaedic trauma and infections.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Effective communication skills and an ability to develop relationships with patients, carers and staff in other teams and organisations
  • Previous experience of working with patients with a range of conditions.
  • Previous community experience is desirable but not essential.
  • A strong commitment to providing patient centred care
