Bristol Community Health is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Therapy Assistant. They will provide support to patients mainly in their own homes and within the community, appropriate to the patients’ needs. They will be responsible for delivering care and assisting with rehabilitation under the direction of the Registered Professional, a Speech Therapist, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.
We are looking for a Therapy Assistant with excellent communication skills, to provide care for patients with frequently complex neurological presentations in order to promote independence and reach goal orientated rehabilitation in the patient’s own environment.
Bristol Community Health is a Community Interest Company providing NHS Community services, our teams work closely together with the Community Discharge Coordination Centre and Intermediate care and there are strong links with the local acute sector, social care services, and voluntary organisations.
Supervision and in-service training is seen as an integral part of work. There is a comprehensive cross-profession supervision structure for all grades and in-service training covering core areas and community specialities.
