Our Physiotherapists enjoy diverse and rewarding roles as part of one team, working across a range of services to put patient care first.
They, their colleagues and their patients all benefit from this collaborative approach and a culture of continuous learning. You’ll also appreciate the support on offer, plus the many opportunities to develop and grow. For example, our post-graduate rotational programme offers invaluable experience in a wide range of settings, including musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and neurology.
Everyone also benefits from a cross-team approach which puts patients first and tries to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.
Our teams include:
Our clinic-based services include Musculoskeletal Assessment and Treatment Service (MATS) and physiotherapy (musculoskeletal outpatient) service, which both assess and manage the care of patients with musculoskeletal and spinal conditions.
Some teams, such as our Community Therapy and Specialist Neurology services, work with patients in their homes or other environments such as day centres and workplaces.
With nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and more, our multi-disciplinary teams work to reduce hospital admissions and help patients who’ve been admitted be discharged sooner. Our multi-disciplinary teams include the Intermediate Care Service, which works in patients’ homes, and REACT (Rapid Assessment Emergency Care Team) In-Reach, which is based in the emergency departments at the BRI and Southmead. These roles are fast paced and hugely diverse.
